Extra Curriculum Activities
Our Activities
Afternoon Activities
The school sends an extramural activity schedule to parents at the beginning of every term. During normal terms (in the absence of Covid-19 restrictions) all students are expected to participate in three activities (excepting Grades 00 – 2). Pupils are to be at the activity 10 minutes before and leave immediately after. Appropriate school assigned clothing is compulsory.
School black shorts and school T-shirt (red, blue or yellow) with socks and running shoes. A hat is also to be worn at all times.

School Trips and Excursions
Every class from Grade 4 upwards has a chance to go on excursions under normal (non Covid restriction) conditions. These trips vary from educational tours to Gaborone, Zimbabwe and
South Africa. Environmental and Cultural trips are seen as a highly important aspect of a child’s rounded education and parents are always expected to co-operate with the school when any trip is being organised for any of our children.
Inter-House Competitions
The school has two houses, Baobab and Mophane, which wear blue and yellow T-shirts respectively on days of Inter-House competitions. These may be sporting or club, as well as academic in nature. Competition between students helps them identify their weaknesses and strengths, and helps them ‘earn critical social skills through interacting with other children, while also learning the value of hard work and developing self-esteem and self-efficacy’ (T Gunn, Jan 2016)
Children work throughout the year to earn ‘House Points’ both academically and through sports. The culmination of the House Points System is the annual awarding of the Muslim Inter-house Floating Trophy.
