welcome to Morula School
About Our School
Morula School has its roots dating back to January 1992 when it opened its doors with an enrolment of 65 boys and girls.
An elected Board of Governors was constituted, Guarantors were identified and the school was registered as a Company and a Certificate of Incorporation was issued. Mr Paddy Page-Wood was appointed to be the first Headmaster and he was assisted by four teachers. Since then Mr Roly Cooke, followed by Roger Smith for 16 years, Graham Roberts for two years and presently the post is held by Mr Peter D’Arcy, with a teaching staff of 21 teachers, and 11 support staff.
Over the last few years the number has increased to 289 pupils, enrolled from a variety of cultures, with over half this enrolment being drawn from the citizens of Botswana. From the beginning, certain criteria were identified, perhaps the most important being the service to the community to which Morula has committed itself. This aspect of the school’s mission statement has often been the guiding criteria when assessing the future development of the school.
Over the years Morula has achieves excellent results in the PSLE which is testimony to the commitment of the staff and the initial aims and objectives of the School. Our High School opened its doors to 11 pupils at the beginning of 2001. The curriculum followed is the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) administered by Cambridge University. The first pupils wrote their IGCSE “O” level exams on Form 4 of 2004.
